Engaging the work of one’s imagination, the quest for embodied, ancient knowledge proceeds from the deep wells of memory to the “bodying forth” of regenerated relations between peoples and lands. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Whakapapa, the recitation of genealogical lists in Māori tradition, demonstrates this: a cosmology built on allegories of procreation that relate all things eternally as kin. Considering this spatio-temporal consciousness, this project proposes a path and a series of twelve pavilions corresponding to twelve lunar months, within a model for architectural engagement grounded in recursive and reciprocal relationships. The design challenge therefore involved the translation of a number of abstract concepts into clear diagrams and graphics that helped readers to understand complex intangible ideas.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The results were a series of maps and diagrams incorporated amongst the 8 essays that were compiled into a book, which had a bright, colour-coded design to reflect the eclecticism of the research subject. Estuaries is a group of artists, scholars, and professionals united by friendship and a commitment to reimagining culture in the way of Jesus. They aim to foster interdisciplinary networks of resilient disciples with an equal value for the intellect, spirit, body, and emotions.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Part of the design challenge for this project was designing a way to counteract the bloated overconsumption of information created by scrolling websites.
